For instance, the Inovair Geared Centrifugal Blower is a single stage Blower, which uses an integral gear case with a 16.65:1 step ratio to allow the use of standard off the shelf motors and VFD’s. The gear case increases the output speed of the 1800/3600 rpm motor to achieve the optimum impeller specific speed for the highest possible efficiency. In fact, the gear case, designed and manufactured by Inovair, utilizes bearings with a projected L-10 life of >180,000 hours. The roller and angular contact bearings on the input and intermediate shafts were painstakingly selected to ensure an industry-leading design. Because of this design, we achieve an expected life of 20 years for these mechanical components.

Another technology advancement designed to extend product life is the high-speed shaft’s noncontact, unlimited life oil film bearings. These bearings are industry proven reliable and are the heart of the Inovair Geared Centrifugal Blower. Utilizing both unlimited life oil film bearings and roller and angular contact bearings designed to exceed 20 years ensures the Inovair Blower will faithfully operate in even the toughest applications with no major overhauls required. In fact, unlike other technology, intermittent starts/stops and varying pressures do not affect the life of expectancy of the Inovair IM series Blowers.
